Science fair
The seventh-graders participated in the area science fair recently.
Kayle Park will be going on to state in Animal Science after receiving a second-place award. Also, Seth Mangiaracina and Chris Wahl earned a third-place team award in engineering.
Geography Bee
Chris Wahl, a 7th-grade student at Buckner Fanning Christian School, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee and a chance at a $25,000 college scholarship on Jan. 12. Read more
Second place went to 4th-grader Matthew Bradley, and third to 8th-grader Cameron Walker. The other students who competed in the final round were: Mallory Lyell, Cory McMichael, Heidi Schuppenhauer, Preston Miller, Aiden McMichael, Michael Gerick, and Matthew Ellis.
