Coach DJ part of Lin's success
Our own coach D.J. (David Jones) was featued in an article in the San Antonio Express-News on Sunday, detailing how he worked with Jeremy Lin before the 2010 NBA draft to help improve the former Harvard player's jump shot.
Lin has become a sensation at point guard for the New York Knicks over the past month.
"Basketball was so good to me, I just wanted to give back to others who love the game," said D.J. "Maybe someday he (Lin) will want to give back in the same way." Read the article
Open enrollment coming soon
Re-enrollment contracts are due by April 1. After that date, students would need to re-apply for admission. However, open enrollment starts March 1, so spots not secured by re-enrollment by then may be given to new students and wait lists may have to be started.

BFCS is hosting an Open Campus 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, March 1.
This is a great event for both existing families and new families. The classrooms will be open and chairs will be placed in the back of each classroom. You may visit any grade level or special classroom for about twenty minutes. This provides the opportunity to see the class in session and the presentation of the teacher.

"Music & Memories" gala set
Buckner Fanning Christian School's annual Gala is set for Friday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the Canyon Springs Golf Club.
"Music & Memories" will feature Grammy- and Dove Award-winning performer Cynthia Clawson, a dear friend of the school's founder, Dr. Buckner Fanning.
The school's annual gala, organized by volunteers from school families, is one of the school's largest fundraisers. For more information, contact Cece Given.
Summer at the Springs!
Our exciting "Summer at the Springs" offers half- or full-day courses during three one-week sessions: June 11-15, June 18-22 and June 25-29.
All courses except for Adventure Camp will be held on the Buckner Fanning Christian School campus.
Summer sessions are open to BFCS and non-BFCS children, so invite your friends and family to participate.
Sessions run 9 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m., with lunch and recess noon-1 p.m. for full-day participants. Extended hours are available with David "DJ" Jones and Shooting for Success. Sessions list and registration form
Annual fund

BFCS is officially accredited
Buckner Fanning Christian School is now officially and fully accredited at the highest level with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement. The recommendation for accreditation cited BFCS as highly functional or operational on all seven standards. Read the accreditation report
